Mother's Day Cake crochet pattern

I made this one for my mom her birthday is also in May, sorry for the blurry picture, but you can get the idea.
This pattern has not been tested yet, so any mistakes or questions please let me know. I hope you like it and Happy early mother's day!

Ingredients
F hook
Worsted weight yarn, small amounts of brown, white, pink
Tapestry needle
Fiberfill stuffing
Cardboard

Terms used:
Sc= single crochet
Ch= chain
Sts= stitches
Sl st= slip stitch
F.O.= fasten off
2sctog= single crochet decrease over two stitches


Bottom of cake
Note:
Each round is begun with the first sc in the same stitch as slip stitch. And end each round with a sl st to first sc made, ch 1.

With white Ch2
Row 1: 6 sc in second ch, sl st in first sc made, ch 1 here and through out, unless otherwise noted.
Row 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12sc)
Row 3: work *1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc* around (18sc)
Row 4: work *1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc* around (24sc)
Row 5: work *1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc* around (30 sc)
Row 5: work *1 sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc* around (36sc)
Row 6: work *1 sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc* around (42sc)
Row 7: In back loops only, work 1 sc in each st around.
Use circle to trace it on cardboard and cut out to use as lining of top cake.
Row 8 through 16: In both loops now, work 1 sc in each sc around. At end of last round sl st to first sc, F.O.
Top of cake

With white Ch2
Row 1: 6 sc in second ch, sl st in first sc made, ch 1 here and through out, unless otherwise noted.
Row 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12sc)
Row 3: work *1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc* around (18sc)
Row 4: work *1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc* around (24sc)
Row 5: work *1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc* around (30sc)
Row 5: work *1 sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc* around (36sc)
Row 6: work *1 sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc* around (42sc)
Row 7: work *1 sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc* around (48sc)
Row 8: In back loops only, work 1 sc in each st around.

Ch 1
Row 12: work * 1 sc in next 3 sc, (1 sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc in next sc) 1 sc in next 5 sc, 1 hdc, 1dc in next sc, (1trc, 1dc, 1hdc in next sc) 1 sc in next 3 sc* repeat around ending with 1 sc in last sc.
Sl st in first sc made F.O. leaving long tail for sewing

Trim on top with pink yarn.
Working in remaining front loops on top of cake, join with sc in any stitch, sc in each sc around, join with sl st to first sc made. F. O.

Finishing
Place the cardboard linings you cut into bottom and top of cake, position them well, and glue them if necessary. Stuff bottom of cake with fiberfill, place the top of cake and tread the tail of yarn into the needle and sew around. I left the icing drops unsown so then can puff out more. And decorate as you like, I added a flower to mine and a trim.

Ingredients
F hook
Worsted weight yarn, small amounts of dark brown, red
Tapestry needle
Fiberfill stuffing
 
Note: To make white chocolate strawberries, substitute the brown yarn for white.
Body
Starting with chocolate brown yarn
 ch 2
Row 1: 2 sc in second ch (6)
Row 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12sc)
Row 3: work *1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc* around. (15sc)
Row 4: 1 sc in each sc around
Row 5: work *1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc* around. (18sc)
Row 6-7: 1 sc in each sc around
Row 8: work 1 sc in next sc changing to red yarn, work 1 sc in next 2 sc, changing to brown yarn in last sc, work 1 sc in next 15 sc. Changing back to red yarn on last sc.
Row 9: work 1 sc in next 3 sc, 2sctog, changing to brown yarn at end.
Work *1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sctog* around. Change to red yarn in last sc (15sc)
Row 10: work *1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sctog in next sc* around (12)
Row 11: work *1 sc in next 2 sc, 2sctog* around (9) stuff
Row 12: work *1 sc in next sc, 2sctog* around (6) finish stuffing F.O.
 
Stem
With green ch2
Row 1: 6 sc in second ch
Row 2: *sc in next sc, ch 5, 2 sc in second ch, 1 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next sc* around, sl st in next sc, F.O. leave long tail for sewing.
Finishing
Sew stem to top of strawberry.

Tip: I use my strawberries as pincushions too, just add a string to the top and they can easily be hanged.

 Make someone very happy with this coin purse, perfect to keep coins, and even a lipstick. Make them in different colors for ice cream flavors.

Materials:

Worsted weight yarn in white and ice cream colors

F Hook (5 US, 3 3/4MM)

Fiberfill stuffing

Tapestry needle

 Black embroidery floss

Plastic or metal sew on snap

 

Terms used:

Sc= single crochet

Ch= chain

Sts= stitches

Sl st= slip stitch

F.O.= fasten off

2sctog= single crochet decrease over two stitches

 

Note: this can also be made into an amigurumi, stuff kitty toy. Just repeat row 6-12, continue on row 13 the same.

Begin each row with first sc in same st as joining st. Slip stitch to first sc made to join rounds, unless otherwise noted and ch 1.

Finishing

Sew body opening shut.

Sew head to body, then feet, arms and tail. Then the ears, and embroider face with black embroidery floss. Sew snap on, one end on tab and the other on body. Done!

Green for luck

Hello,
 This green little chiguagua is for my cousin birthday present. 
I mailed it off today, Im sure she will like it, she has a pet chiguagua too.






Works in progress:
Frog, Pink bear, im working on new pattern to post soon too. 
I plan on sharing a free pattern every month,
Im thinking of ideas and themes for every month.

Happy New Year!!



Hello Everyone, and Happy New Year!
I hope this year brings happiness and love.
 
One of my dreams for this year would be to open up a amigurumi pattern and doll store.
Maybe at etsy.com and lulu.com, im not sure yet, but I will try 
to get all this ideas out of me.
Im also committed to loosing more weight, 
i gained a lot of weight when i was pregnant.
I want to be back in my regular size 7 jeans...every day I workout and try to eat healthy, 
I lost 20 pounds so far.
back to crochet news....
I finished the soccer hats for my hubby and my son.



Im currentrly working on testing a cute frog, making a green chiguagua and a little pink bear too.
